FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI EVO Hybrid Instant Camera

If you are a bit sick and tired of taking photos on your iPhone, and long for the days of film, then the FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI EVO Hybrid Instant Camera might just be the ticket.

The FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI EVO Hybrid Instant Camera is essentially a hybrid digital/instant film camera. It offers the convenience of digital image capture with a traditional instant film output so you can shoot as many images as you want and then print an image whenever you want.

The INSTAX MINI EVO was designed to look like a classic camera, and the body features a series of dials and levers to replicate that feel.

The camera accepts INSTAX MINI instant film and it will produce 2.4 x 1.8″ images on a credit card-sized, 3.4 x 2.1″ sheet. A FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI Value Pack Instant Film (60 Exposures) costs $37.88 USD. There is a print lever on the camera that you pull to instantly print your selected photo.

The camera utilizes a fixed 28mm-equivalent lens and an f/2 aperture. The lens also has a 3.9″ minimum focusing distance.

The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery can power the camera and supports printing up to approximately 100 images per charge. It can be recharged via USB in approximately 2-3 hours.

The internal memory holds approximately 45 still images and a microSD/SDHC memory card slot can be used if you want to expand the storage capacity.

In typical FUJIFILM style there are 10 Lens Effects and 10 Film Effects you can use. By turning the film dial you can select a film effect and twist the lens dial to set your lens effect.

There is a rear 3.0″ 460k-dot LCD screen for live view compositions, menu navigation, and for making print selections. An accessory shoe can be used to attach third-party accessories, like optical viewfinders or LED lights. The camera also has a 1/4″-20 tripod mount and a built-in flash.

In keeping with the times, the INSTAX MINI EVO app can be used for wireless remote control of the camera as well as for transferring images from the MINI EVO to your smartphone or for transferring images from your smartphone to print.
